Semantic Fauna only took a few hours to make but it is probably one of the most useful things I've ever built. Whenever we are preparing a new release at work one of the first steps is coming up with a release name. Before semantic fauna we tried using semver to name our releases but found that releases often wouldn't become ready in order, so you'd end up either having to release 2.3 before 2.2 or go through the annoying process of renaming releases.

Semantic fauna gives you a memorable and often humorous codename to use for the release. We've also taken to doing a quick google image search to find an appropriate image for the release name which makes reviewing release PRs just a little more fun.
